Meryl Streep for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role
Heath Ledger for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role
Kate Winslet for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting RoleSlumdog Millionare for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion PictureThe Dark Knight for Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture

and i really don't care about the television ones, but this one was great:
Heroes for Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series

mOvIe: Seven Pounds

"In seven days, God created the world. And in seven seconds, I shattered mine."
*
This movie, made me so upset. I thought about it for days. I was just so angry and sad at the same time because of what he had to do, because he let himself fall in love, because it just wasn't fair.
I think it was a really good movie, and Will Smith did a really good job. It definetly made up for Hancock. Rosario Dawson did a fantastic job too. They made you actually care about these characters, even the smallest parts. Ezra, a blind man, was incredible, and the fact that he was blind was so unfair. The movie made you care about him even though he was on screen for maybe 10 minutes.
Alot of people seem to have a problem with the end of the movie, wanting there to be a happy ending maybe, wanting someone to rescue him, but i don't think that would be right. Its his choice, and his freewill that he chooses to die. It had to happen that way. It just had to, and as upset as it makes someone, sometimes thats just how it has to be...

Anyways, go see this movie, it makes you think, and it makes you cry. Don't forget the tissue!

PoEm: La Figlia che Piange (The Weeping girl)

La Figlia che Piange (The Weeping Girl)

By: T.S Eliot

Stand on the highest pavement of the stair-
Lean on a garden urn-
Weave, weave the sunlight in your hair-
Clasp your Flowers to you with a pained surprise-
Fling them to the ground and turn
With a fugitive resentment in your eyes:
But weave, weave the sunlight in your hair.
So I would have had him leave,
So I would have had her stand and grieve,
So he would have left
As the soul leaves the body torn and bruised,
As the mind deserts the body it has used.
I should find
Some way incomparably light and deft,
Some way we both should understand,
Simple and faithless as a smile and shake of the hand.
She turned away, but with the autumn weather
Compelled my imagination many days,
Many days and many hours:
Her hair over her arms and her arms full of flowers.
And I wonder how they should have been together!
I should have lost a gesture and a pose.
Sometimes these cogitations still amaze
The troubled midnight and the noon’s repose

"The whole reason for going on this tour was to have fun, try on all our favorite songs again and to get inspired to make new music," No Doubt's Gwen Stefani says. "It feels good to be all together again."

They have been working on a lot of new stuff for the past year or so, and i can not wait. I love Paramore too. It should be a great show!

YAY!!! P!nk & Carey Hart

SO, we knew ! it couldn't be over! P!nk let Carey Hart move back into the house! They are still friends, but they both know something is there. They recently spent NewYears together and have been seen working out together, and walking arm in arm. I hope they get back together and stay together forever. The only good thing that came out of that break up was the great music she put on her new cd. I'm so excited for them!

PoEm: Remember

Remember

by Christina Rosetti

Remember me when I am gone away,

Gone far away into the silent land;

When you can no more hold me by the hand,

Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.

Remember me when no more day by day

You tell me of our future that you plann'd:

Only remember me; you understand

It will be late to counsel then or pray.

Yet if you should forget me for a while

And afterwards remember, do not grieve:

For if the darkness and corruption leave

A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,

Better by far you should forget and smile

Than that you should remember and be sad.

This poem makes me so sad. Its really suppose to be a little uplifting. this woman is telling her husband not to be sad, to move on when she dies. She is telling him it is ok to be sad and remember the good times, but in the end you are still living. Keep going...

MagaZine shoot; Tie me up, tie me down

I just randomly came across this photo shoot for GQ magazine. It featured Claudia Schiffer and Joseph Gordon Levitt. Anyways i love Joseph, ever since the movie 10 things i hate about you. So its from a little bit ago, but i just had to share a couple photos because he is awesome. Enjoy!

BooK ReVieW: Red Carpet Suicide by Perez Hilton

First off i must say that i love Perez Hilton. He is the Queen of all media. He just rocks! SO he came out with this book Red Carpet Suicide; A Survival Guide on Keeping Up with the Hiltons.
Now you must be wondering, so its a book about Paris Hilton? NO! She of course is in it but, its more about ALL the Hiltons. You know them all; Lindsey Lohan,Drew Barrymore, Miley Cyrus, Nicole Ricci, Britney Spears,Ashlee Simpson,Lauren Conrad,Tara Reid and Christina Aguilera. Yes, the Hilton is those who milk the hollywood spotlight like no normal person would.
SO basically this book is a "how to guide" to become a Hilton. In the beggining you get to pick the type of Hilton you want to be. In part one, you get "simple" steps about what to do. Thi section is hilarious, filled with celebrity secrets, facts, and jabs. There is also great drawings, most of them stick figure. There are also celebrity photos and little matching quizzes which are super fun.
Part two of the book talks about the future of a Hilton. Perez talks about where little, Suri, the brad & Angelinas kids, and more celeb kids will be when they grow up. Its quite funny.
Part three talks about Perez's life as a Hilton. Its probably my favourite part learning about celebrity reactions to this awesome person. Then we get a treat of a bunch of pictures of Perez and some of the best "Hiltons".
<3
Anyways its agreat read, if you are into all the celebrity screwup type thing. Or if you just love gossip, or Perez Hilton. Loves it!

POstEr: Transformers, Revenge of the Fallen

Transformers poster! Can't freaking wait!! June 26th!!!

mOvIe: My Bloddy Valentine 3-D

So, this was my first 3-d movie so i was pretty excited, i was a little less excited after seeing all the terrifying previews for other scary movies that i never want to see. Honestly, come to think of it i'm not sure why i went to this one. Anyways, so right at the beginning of the movie it gets super bloody. Just body parts everywhere and blood all over. Its pretty sick. The acting in the movie was pretty much horrible by most. Kerr Smith who played Axel was probably the worst. He was suppose to be this macho sheriff and really he was just a tool. The main guy, Jennson ackles wasn't that bad, he kind of reminded me of Channing Tatum. Jaime King probably did the best, although she really needs to stop taking retarded roles like this. I wanted there to be more action in the movie. Seeing action in 3-d would have been so much better. The storyline was basically the same old kind of cheesy horror movie kind of thing. The murderer in the end was pretty crappy, i wanted it to be someone else, well actually two people doing it together. The bullet was pretty cool and when the gun was waving around in 3-d form. I'd suggest seeing this movie if you like cheesy horror movies. The 3-d was a little wasted on this movie. p.s. Did you hear that there is going to be a Final Destination 4!?!? ahhhh!!!

Newspaper Article about an amazing man

An article about an amazing person. I just thought people should read. It really makes you think about what you are doing to help people in need.
Victor Nickel defied the stereotypes.
The 83-year-old Saskatoon man, who died last week on Idylwyld Drive North after he was hit by a semi-tractor, looked like he was in his 60s. As he walked up and down the street with his little white wagon trailing behind, he wasn't scavenging to put food on his table; he was collecting bottles and cans to give to those in need.
"People might think he was a pedestrian not paying attention, but it was a man actually out collecting stuff, in minus 60 weather getting frostbite on his face, to provide for families. Even with that cold weather, he was out. He'd come by three times a day, starting first thing in the morning," said Tami Bradley, who knew Nickel through her work at a gas station on Idylwyld Drive.
The former Mennonite Brethren church pastor didn't stop his ministry to people just because his job ended when he retired at the age of 65. After serving in churches in several Saskatchewan communities as well as in Alberta and British Columbia, Victor and his wife Katie moved to Saskatoon. His neighbourhood, the area between Woodlawn cemetery and Idylwyld, became his church.
"He was a pastor to the people," said Phil Nickel, the youngest of five children born to Victor and Katie.
"He would take time to talk to anyone he came into contact with and to listen to them. His biggest concern was pointing them to God and letting them know that he cared, but more importantly, that Jesus cared about them."
In the year that Bradley worked at the gas station, she came to know Nickel as that kind of pastor.
"When you're down and out, he brings you hope and he says everything will work out. He prays for you and does little prayers. He raises your spirits and he makes you feel a lot better about what's going on in his life," said Bradley, remembering Nickel.
Nickel covered miles and miles every day, regardless of the weather. Wind, rain or snow couldn't keep him home. He rode his bicycle as long as the weather held, then switched to walking when the roads became too slippery.
His day started early, sometimes as early as 4 a.m., when he would have coffee with a particular trucker, says his son.
Nickel has also been described as the pastor to the coffee crowd at McDonald's, where he was a regular.
When he didn't show up for his morning coffee on Friday, employees and customers came to accept what they had suspected after hearing about the accident the day before.
"It was pretty sombre around here. It is quite different not seeing him every day," said Doug Stott, manager of McDonald's Restaurant on Idylwyld Drive.
"He would come, have his coffee, come back later and buy another coffee. We've got some guys who will buy one coffee and drink 10 refills and that's all they do all morning. He never abused the privilege."
Sometimes, Nickel would buy a second cup and take it to a shut-in in the neighbourhood, a mini "meals-on-wheels," said Stott.
"He was somebody out of the ordinary in that he always cared about others and always had a kind word for others. He was never in it for himself. With the scavenging that he did with pop cans and bottles and that, it wasn't to buy him a new TV or something. It was to help out the church or charities."
Nickel collected about $300 worth of cans and bottles each month, but he gave away more than the money he earned from the recycling. Avid gardeners, the Nickels always grew more vegetables than they could eat just so they had extra to give away. They also fixed up old furniture: Victor did the repairing and sanding while Katie mended upholstery and painted and stained the wood.
Nickel was the kind of man who would have wanted to reach out to the driver of the truck involved in the accident, says his son.
"He wouldn't have sent him an e-mail. He would have talked to him face-to-face. He would want to say that he loved him and that Jesus loved him."
Nickel's funeral is scheduled for Wednesday.

PoEm: Along The Road

I walked a mile with Pleasure;
She chattered all the way,
But left me none the wiser
For all she had to say.
I walked a mile with Sorrow
And ne'er a word said she;
But oh, the things I learned from her
When Sorrow walked with me.

*Robert Browning Hamilton*

This poem speaks for itself. Thats all i really can say about it....

PoEm: His Pilgrimage

His Pilgrimage by Sir Walter Raleigh
*
GIVE me my scallop-shell of quiet,

My staff of faith to walk upon,

My scrip of joy, immortal diet,

My bottle of salvation,

My gown of glory, hope's true gage;

And thus I'll take my pilgrimage.
*
Blood must be my body's balmer;

No other balm will there be given:

Whilst my soul, like quiet palmer,

Travelleth towards the land of heaven;

Over the silver mountains,

Where spring the nectar fountains;

There will I kiss

The bowl of bliss;

And drink mine everlasting fill

Upon every milken hill.

My soul will be a-dry before;

But, after, it will thirst no more.
Read and Enjoy. Sir Walter Raleigh has been one of my favourite poets for a few years now. If you enjoy this poem Check out "The Nymphs Reply to the Sheperd".

MoViE: Bridewars

So on Saturday i went and saw the movie Bridewars with my Aunt and Uncle. I thought it looked pretty funny, but i wasn't expecting to LOVE it. But i did! It made me laugh,cry, get angry, and be super happy all at the same time. I don't usually like Kate Hudson, i don't think she is that great of an actress, but she was extremely funny. Of course i gravitated towards Anne Hathaways character. She is much more like me then i think i even know. I don't think this movie was suppose to make you think like it made me think. I miss having a female friend that i'm that close to. I haven't had one in so long..Males are just so easy to get along with, and you don't have to please them as much. You don't have to pretend to care what they are talking about because they don't really talk about "feelings". I don't really know where i am going with this blog...but anyways.. .GO SEE BRIDEWARS! :)
p.s. Bryan Greenberg plays Nate in the movie and is super hot! Watch 4 him!
